About The Position

Performs all building maintenance tasks as assigned and all preventative maintenance tasks as required. Answers radio calls and responds to guest room and public area calls in a prompt and professional manner according to standards. Follows-up and updates status of ongoing projects Engineer Management in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general repair and / or maintenance on the following including but not limited to: Minor plumbing repairs or maintenance on faucets, lavatories, water closets, and valves
  • Replace flush valves and faucet seats or washers and shower valves or heads as required
  • Pull toilets and replace wax rings and grouting as required
  • Troubleshoot and repairs minor TV problems and telephone problems as required
  • Troubleshoot and repairs problems with electronic door locks and safes
  • Repair minor carpet tears and burns as required
  • Replace light bulbs and repairs minor lighting problems
  • Repair sliding glass doors and locks
  • Replace pulls and knobs and aligns drawers, repairs other minor problems on cabinets and furniture.
  • Clean and / or replaces air conditioning filters.
  • Repair minor problems with entrance and closet doors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Perform any other general building maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) developed by the Engineering department of TIBR.
  • Execute Policy and Procedures (P&P) for engineering practice developed by Engineering department.
  • Conduct day to day operation of repair and maintenance of various Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning) systems for the hotel.
  • Conduct inventory control of material and spare parts used within the maintenance process.
  • Participate in fire drills, testing of Fire, Life, Health, and Safety Systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance practices are conducted appropriately by exercising the SOP and P&P developed by the Engineering department.
  • Supervise the strategic direction of general projects related to the enhancement of the hotel.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance are conducted using appropriate materials and practices based on the Engineering Policy and Procedures.
  • Maintain all equipment and systems functioning to its optimum benefit.
  • Attend department meetings, trainings, etc
  • May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
  • The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
