About The Position

Reporting to the Production Unit Manager, an Operations Maintenance Coordinator job description involves managing the interface between the maintenance, planning and operations work streams to ensure the scoping and scheduling of the operating department’s maintenance needs are aligned with the production requirements. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to act as a crucial link between operations and maintenance teams. By effectively managing maintenance processes, the OMC helps organizations minimize downtime, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of the operation of the equipment.
• Planning and organizational abilities essential for managing multiple tasks and schedules simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and process interconnectivity.
• Ability to quickly resolve issues that arise during maintenance operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for coordinating with team members and management.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of refinery experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing maintenance schedules to ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained effectively.
• Coordinating regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Managing and tracking maintenance requests and work orders from initiation to completion, ensuring that tasks are prioritized and executed efficiently.
• Ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with industry safety standards and legal regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and decision-making purposes.
