About The Position

The Operations Lead is a critical member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency through coaching and execution. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate tasks, delegate work, and provide feedback to the team, ensuring optimal results for total store operations. The Operations Lead will lead and execute inventory management processes, focusing on accuracy and shrink reduction, and investigate inventory discrepancies. Key operational functions include managing shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management. This role also champions strong visual standards and supports a safe and efficient work environment through stockroom organization and processes. As a business leader, the Operations Lead partners with the Operations & Visual Manager to oversee reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities. They demonstrate strong business acumen by using metrics to support business strategies and dynamically assess the retail floor to meet the needs of the business, team, and guests. As a people leader, they lead by example, inspire staff, and directly oversee Operations Associates, including recruitment and development. They use company performance tools to evaluate associates and provide feedback for growth in partnership with the store leader. They collaborate with the Visual Lead and Sales & Service Lead to ensure cross-functional alignment and execute company-level operations directives.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
  • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making
  • Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide
  • High energy, upbeat and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team

  • Open availability and expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends.
  • Expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
  • Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
  • Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies.
  • Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests.
  • Leads by example and inspires staff in daily operations and guest experience.
  • Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent.
  • Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
  • Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
  • Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.
