About The Position

The Operations Lead is a critical member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving and coaching to profitability and efficiency. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate, delegate, and provide feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations. The Operations Lead will lead and execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink, investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, and manage the execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management. Additionally, the Operations Lead will champion strong visual standards for the sales floor and support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes. This role also partners with the Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities. The Operations Lead demonstrates strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies and moves dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests. Furthermore, the Operations Lead leads by example, inspires staff in daily operations and guest experience, and directly oversees the Operations Associates, being responsible for recruitment and development of talent. They use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader. This role collaborates with the Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed. The Operations Lead also executes company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
  • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making

  • Expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January)

Responsibilities

  • Lead & execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
  • Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes
  • Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
  • Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests
  • Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience
  • Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent
  • Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader
  • Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed
  • Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC)
