About The Position

The Operations Lead is a critical role within the store leadership team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency through effective operations and team coaching. This position works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate tasks, delegate work, and provide feedback to the team to achieve optimal results in total store operations. The role encompasses leading inventory management, investigating accuracy issues, managing key operational functions like shipment and receiving, maintaining sales floor recovery and replenishment, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment through strong stockroom standards. The Operations Lead also partners with management on reporting, budgets, expenses, and technology, leveraging metrics to support business strategies and assess the needs of the business, team, and guests. This role involves leading by example, overseeing Operations Associates, and contributing to talent development through performance evaluation and feedback. Collaboration with other leads ensures cross-functional alignment and execution of company directives.

Requirements

• 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
• Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making

• Full-time employment requiring 32 - 40 hours per week
• Open availability and expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends
• Expected to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
• Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
• Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
• Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies.
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests.
• Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
• Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent.
• Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
• Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC).
