About The Position

The Operations Lead is a critical member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency through effective operations and team coaching. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate tasks, delegate work, and provide feedback to the team, ensuring optimal results that support total store operations. The Operations Lead embodies ALO's Guiding Principles and leads by example in daily operations and guest experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
  • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision-making.
  • Values feedback, is receptive to receiving feedback, and eager to provide it.
  • High energy, upbeat, and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.

  • Open availability and expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends.
  • Expected to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute inventory management processes, focusing on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
  • Investigate inventory accuracy issues and identify root causes, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
  • Manage key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
  • Partner with the Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
  • Leverage metrics to support business-driving strategies.
  • Assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests on the retail floor.
  • Directly oversee Operations Associates, including recruitment and development of talent.
  • Use company performance tools to evaluate operations associates and provide feedback for individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Lead for cross-functional training and the Sales & Service Lead to ensure business execution.
  • Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.
