About The Position

This role involves a variety of manual labor tasks to support operations, including material handling, sorting, unpacking, disassembly of equipment, processing recyclable materials, directing yard traffic, light facility maintenance, and general housekeeping. Regular attendance, punctuality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment are essential.

Requirements

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Ability to use box cutters.
Ability to use recycling equipment such as metal shears, band saws, and wire strippers.
Ability to select and use tools properly.
Ability to work with other employees to assist machinery repair.
Ability to perform light facility maintenance (painting, scraping, moving furniture and equipment).
Ability to perform landscaping work.
Ability to sweep, clean, shovel, and collect debris.
Ability to organize materials for effective space utilization.
Ability to dispose of waste materials appropriately.
Ability to inspect work areas for cleanup completion.

Responsibilities

Unload pallets, boxes, and bundles.
Handle and sort materials, including pushing, pulling, picking, lifting, carrying, and filling hoppers, boxes, and conveyor belts.
Unpack boxes using box cutters, separating plastics, zip ties, blister packs, and other packaging materials.
Disassemble small equipment, cut wires, torque pipe fittings, and remove bolts, automobile parts, and appliance parts.
Work with recycling equipment such as metal shears, band saws, and wire strippers for processing metal products.
Direct traffic of yard vehicles traveling through the yard.
Perform light facility maintenance, including painting, scraping, and moving furniture and equipment.
Assist with machinery repair by selecting and using tools properly, pulling and installing parts, and collaborating with other employees.
Maintain housekeeping by sweeping, cleaning, shoveling, and collecting debris.
Perform moderate and periodic landscaping work.
Clean up the work area at the end of the shift.
Keep work areas neat and orderly.
Organize materials for more effective use of space.
Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner.
Inspect work areas to ensure cleanup is completed.
Maintain effective housekeeping in the workplace area for safety and hygienic conditions.
