About The Position
River Valley Community Bank (RVCB) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations & IT Intern to support both our Operations and Technology teams. This internship offers hands-on experience in banking operations, enterprise systems, and IT support, with an emphasis on application management, system functionality, IT reporting, and technology-driven process improvement. This role provides broad exposure to both banking operations and IT systems, with an emphasis on developing technical and analytical skills.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Strong interest in technology, systems, and IT support within a business environment
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to AI and the ability to identify practical ways to apply it
- Exposure to systems, databases, reporting tools, or basic technical concepts (e.g., SQL, integrations, applications)
- Interest in financial services or banking operations
Responsibilities
- Assist with support and maintenance of internal banking applications and systems
- Support system testing, upgrades, and change management processes
- Monitor application performance and assist in identifying improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with departments to understand system usage and recommend improvements
- Support data integrity, security practices, and proper system utilization
- Assist with account documentation, imaging, and records organization
- Support account maintenance reviews for accuracy.
- Assist with procedure documentation and updates
- Participate in operational and technology-related projects
- Assist with workflow design, process mapping, and efficiency improvements
- Support KPI reporting and basic data analysis
- Collaborate across departments to enhance processes and system usage
