About The Position

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of inventory control, receiving, and material handling duties to support efficient plant operations. Responsibilities include receiving and verifying incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, unloading raw materials into designated storage locations and silos, and ensuring inventory transactions are accurately recorded in company systems. This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to utilize receiving and inventory management software to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational objectives. The Inventory Clerk works collaboratively with multiple departments and helps maintain the integrity of inventory processes and products.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to accurately maintain records and perform data entry.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic Hazard Communication training.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training.
  • Forklift Training.
  • On-the-Job Safety Review training.
  • Must be mentally and physically alert at all times.
  • Must be able to multitask in a potentially high-stress environment.
  • Good vision and depth perception required.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using inventory management, ERP, receiving, or warehouse management software preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support safety initiatives.
  • Schedule and maintain silo levels (Unloader operation)
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Accurately enter and maintain inventory transactions using receiving and inventory management software.
  • Properly unload raw materials into silos and designated storage locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation to ensure inventory integrity and traceability.
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or receiving issues.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
  • Utilize computer systems and Microsoft Office applications to maintain records, generate reports, and communicate inventory-related information.
  • Properly warehouse and organize inventory to support efficient operations.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities as required.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Demonstrate strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage a team of 1-4 associates.
  • Ability to deal with conflict, hold team members accountable pertaining to safety, job performance, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
