About The Position

The program will provide applicants with the opportunity to experience first-hand the depth and variety of the insurance industry. It will be mutually beneficial for both the intern and the group the intern is supporting. At the end of the internship a tangible work product/project should be successfully completed.

Requirements

• College students with a strong GPA and a willingness to learn
• Effective problem-solving skills and analytical aptitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Self-motivated
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Interest in the insurance industry
• Willingness to learn
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook

Nice To Haves

• Insurance majors are preferred
• Business administration, finance, actuarial or other business disciplines will also be considered

Responsibilities

• Receive an overview of our company, our industry and how insurance companies work
• Be guided by a dedicated manager/mentor throughout your internship
• Be assisted by a peer mentor to help acclimate you in making the transition to a corporate environment
• Meet with members of our senior leadership team and learn about their personal experiences in the insurance industry
• Meet with our external customers
• Shadow professionals in a variety of disciplines
• Successfully complete a tangible work product/project by the end of the internship
