About The Position

Tulip, a leader in AI-native frontline operations, is seeking an Operations Intern to support their team in Somerville, MA. This role requires in-office presence and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on product and culture within a fast-paced startup environment. The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to office operations, employee experience, and hardware fulfillment, with real ownership and responsibility from day one. Tulip, a spinoff out of MIT, is recognized for its innovation in digital transformation for industrial environments.

Requirements

Able to work 20-40 hrs/week on-site at our Assembly Square office in Somerville, MA (easily accessible via the Orange Line).
Bias for action, flexibility, adaptability, and strong time management skills.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and take a solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbs.
Demonstrated ability to independently carry out and present projects to the team and company.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear, effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot issues and handle office projects — building, moving, and setting up equipment around HQ.
Keep the space organized, clean, and fully stocked.
Monitor the Operations Jira board and inbox; respond to requests.
Manage inventory and ordering for snacks, food, and office supplies.
Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Source, procure, and maintain office equipment.
Support workplace culture initiatives: town halls, happy hours, team events.
Help create a welcoming, productive environment for all employees.
Support hardware fulfillment.
