About The Position

Lodgco is seeking an Operations Intern to join the team at the Courtyard Mt. Pleasant, located on Central Michigan University's campus. This rotational internship is ideal for students enrolled in a Hospitality program or those interested in a career in Hotel/Hospitality Management. The program focuses on hotel operations, offering hands-on experience across various departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Sales. Interns will gain practical experience in fundamental frontline hospitality positions, receive consistent coaching and feedback, and develop essential skills for the hospitality industry.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree or certification in the hospitality industry or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the hotel business demands
Must have unrestricted work authorization in the US
Customer service experience is preferred
Satisfactory criminal background screening required
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record may be required

Responsibilities

Flexibility in working various entry-level service positions within the property
Rotate between front office, housekeeping, food & beverage outlets and/or sales
Understanding of daily hotel operations, policies, procedures, and internal rules, including brand-specific procedures and rules
Provide the highest quality of service to the guests
Ensure that all the school-specific internship program requirements are met
Additional departments/roles may be added based on business needs
Attend to and anticipate guest's needs
Attend regular meetings with the General Manager to track progress and growth
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the General Manager
