Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current enrollment in and completion of one semester of a technical associates or certificate program -- Industrial Technology Program, Diesel Technology Program, Electrical or I&E Program, Transportation and Applied Technology Program at Owens CC, Terra State CC, Lorain CCC, Penta Career Center, or an equivalent accredited technical institution
  • Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Must be willing to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as the need arises
  • Must be willing to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Must be willing to work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Must be willing to use hand tools
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Possesses strong problem solving, analytical, creative thinking, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Prior leadership experience within a work, project and/or campus environment

Responsibilities

  • Trains in electrical, instrumentation and controls; provides I/E support
  • Participates in flow path training
  • Performs transmitter calibrations
  • Completes line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, daily rounds and readings within the gathering system
  • Builds mechanical knowledge while conducting tasks associated with mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and general cleaning of facilities/assets
  • Assists with a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support operations, while collaborating with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
  • Acquires knowledge of and follows requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
