About The Position

Teladoc Health’s internship program allows students to gain hands-on experience by applying their academic curriculum to real-world situations. We are looking for skilled, motivated, and innovative people to join our Internship Program. Interns will receive valuable training and mentoring to support their professional growth, develop marketable skills, and learn about Teladoc Health’s business and the healthcare industry. This is a paid opportunity, in which interns will be assigned projects and tasks relevant to Teladoc Health’s current business needs. Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Workforce Management, the Operations internship provides hands-on experience in optimizing clinical staffing of physicians according to their licensure, location and specialization with the assistance of AI, offering an opportunity for professional development and growth in a clearly defined project and close supervision.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program (Health Adminstration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field)
  • Proficient with MS Office and Microsoft automation tools (Excel, Power Automate, Copilot, etc.)
  • Superior interpersonal skills, communication skills (oral and written) and takes initiative
  • Organized and able to effectively prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Assist with automating monthly finance and workforce reporting for province‑specific clinical programs, including: Tracking and summarizing provider hours by program; Reconciling data between scheduling tools and finance reports; Tracking of overtime and coverage changes; Helping develop reporting structures that allow easier, more direct access to data for finance as scheduling workflows continue to evolve.
  • Support automation of province‑specific program reporting, including: Developing automated breakdowns of hours across different service streams; Maintaining monthly running totals of coverage required; Creating tools to track remaining available hours to support proactive and methodical coverage and capacity planning.
  • Assist with cross‑program workforce analytics and automation, including: Calculating and tracking average hours per provider by program and province; Building and maintaining automated trackers for total active providers per program, based on defined minimum‑hour thresholds and recent activity; Supporting automated inputs used for projected provider need calculations; Supporting development of more automated provider payment tracking; Supporting implementing automation tools with regular cadence to keep clients aware of projected coverage and gaps to support planning and awareness.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Clinical teams to: Understand data requirements and validate reporting outputs; Document current processes and identify opportunities for automation or simplification; Support testing, refinement, and rollout of new tools or reports.
