Position Overview The Operations Financial Analyst provides data and financial analysis required to Operations to support operational decisions.

Requirements

Education: completion of Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Experience: three (3) years directly related relevant experience.
Strong organizational, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, cost benefit analysis and related analytical techniques.
Strong knowledge of computer systems operations, environment and peripherals and various applications software in use in the department (SAP, SharePoint, BW Reports, BI and suite of MS Office products).

Responsibilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting activities for assigned operational groups, ensuring alignment with corporate financial policies and guidelines.
Partner with business leaders to develop, analyze, and manage operational and capital budgets, using data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Monitor financial performance and deliver regular variance analysis, providing actionable recommendations to improve results.
Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and business insights to support strategic planning and operational effectiveness.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, including work orders, job costing, and journal entries.
Support cross-functional teams by providing guidance on financial processes, reporting, and systems.
Conduct financial analysis and special projects, including regulatory and ad-hoc reporting, to support business initiatives.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting, and systems, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Maintain and analyze financial data and metrics, translating complex information into clear, meaningful insights.
Provide general operational support as needed, including collaboration across purchasing, fleet, and facilities functions.
