About The Position

The Operations & Facilities Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of a high-volume order fulfillment distribution center, that is semi-automated (Autostore Warehouse Solutions). They will drive the operation, development, and implementation of key processes to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures. By using continual process improvement tools (such as Lean and Six Sigma), they will lead employee initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of distribution or operations experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Expertise in material handling equipment, storage solutions, and distribution optimization.
  • Skilled in process flow and value stream mapping to improve efficiency and resource use.
  • Knowledge of logistics and carrier performance to enhance service and reduce freight costs.
  • Strong financial forecasting and budget management abilities.
  • Excellent communicator within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to build an inclusive, values‑driven culture centered on engagement and accountability.
  • Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective at managing shifting priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience managing a semi-automated warehouse (GTP)
  • Six sigma green belt certification
  • Experience working with a RF based WMS and SAP systems
  • Experience leading an operation with light assembly
  • Experience with quality systems and ISO certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage supervisors and associates to ensure timely, high-quality distribution operations that meet budget, policy, and customer requirements.
  • Drive associate engagement and performance by establishing a shared vision, aligning teams to organizational strategy, and recognizing individual and group achievements.
  • Plan, direct, and implement warehouse operations and administrative support to achieve productivity and service goals while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee warehouse management teams using effective communication, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary programs to achieve operational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain warehouse systems and technologies to support efficient operations, staying current with hardware and software advancements.
  • Create and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring strong financial controls, cost management, and achievement of service, revenue, and profit targets.
  • Manage facilities, equipment, and preventive maintenance programs, including vendor and contractor oversight, to ensure reliability, safety, and minimal downtime.
  • Lead facility improvements and capital projects, manage utilities and spare-parts inventory, and support cost-saving initiatives using SAP and Ariba.
