The Downline Operator I will be responsible for operating and learning the functions of Downline Packaging equipment, including the Cap Applicator, Cardboard Case Packer, and Accumulators. This role also involves learning the basic functionality of coders. The operator will ensure efficient operation of distribution equipment, support maintenance activities, and follow instructions to meet quality and efficiency standards. Key responsibilities include assuming responsibility for safety, quality, and effective communication related to shift and plant performance, as well as filling in for vacations and absences. The role requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), monitoring and fixing equipment faults, clearing material jams, conducting quality checks, and maintaining a clean work area. Effective communication within the production team for smooth shift transitions is essential. The operator will troubleshoot basic to moderate operating difficulties, assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and troubleshooting, monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP) material and supplies, and use Oracle systems for material consumption tracking. Relieving other production team members for breaks and absences, preparing and maintaining area codes and paperwork, and setting up oncoming shifts for success are also key duties. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn when required, and all other duties as assigned will be performed.
