About The Position

The function of the NQA, USA Operations department is to ensure that assessment activities are performed in a highly professional and technical manner, exceeding customer expectations, and to hire and train auditors and associates to NQA, USA’s processes and system manual requirements. The Operations Director will provide leadership to full-time and sub-contracted assessors, serve as a technical resource to staff and clients, assist in the development of new internal/external processes, and hire and train staff in accordance with corporate policies. This role also involves performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 years quality related experience.
  • Bachelors degree or 4-10 years related experience and/or training.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NQA, USA internal/external processes.
  • Knowledge of industry standard requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to full-time and sub-contracted assessors.
  • Serve as a technical resource to all staff and clients.
  • Assist in the development of new internal/external processes.
  • Hire and train staff in accordance with established corporate policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Establish and monitor company wide auditor/associate hiring plans.
  • Ensure the integrity of the assessment process.
  • Ensure proper auditor/assessor utilization and effective scheduling of activities between regions.
  • Develop monthly metrics/indicators to measure Operation Department performance.
  • Provide guidance on the use of the company CRM, EQM.
  • Interface with the Business Unit Directors on training matters.
  • Develop and support new initiative activities and standards.
  • Coordinate company wide multi-site clients.
  • Assist with future program development.
  • Oversee Program Management execution.
  • Assist with the Standard/Non-standard industry sector technical groups.
  • Ensure the Business Units are properly supported/functioning.
  • Communicate BUM/industry feedback to proper points of contacts.
  • Oversee the file review process (Certificate, Surveillance, Triennial).
  • Oversee the contract review process.
  • Implement monthly operations meetings and provide continuous feedback to associates/auditors.
  • Attend and Present in the NQA, USA auditor conferences.
  • Support development of Operations Bulletins.
  • Develop resource input information for General Manager review/approval.
  • Ensure that auditor files maintain proper documents.
  • Oversee the progress of company projects.
  • Provide input for the annual NQA, USA budget.
  • Oversee the company wide “Blue List”.
  • Provide input to Quality Manager regarding Misuse of the Mark.
  • Ensure that auditors/associates are effectively implementing the Systems Manual.
  • Modify applicable sections of the Systems Manual.
  • Review staff expense reports/time cards as needed.
  • Perform assessment activities as needed.
  • Ensure completion of confidentiality form.
  • Identify appropriate staff training needs.
