Bringing Home the Dough Position directs manufacturing, engineering & maintenance, quality and regulatory (environmental) functions at an individual plant site. The operations director is responsible for managing the short term and long- term operations of his/her plant to ensure that the plant delivers on the expected product quality and output. The role requires a leader who has the vision, energy, and passion for Supply Chain operations to see opportunities and inspire others to exceed results by motivating, attracting, and retaining top talent, including developing others in the plants into positions with greater responsibility. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Requirements

  • Operations/Engineering/Supply Chain Management relevant degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Greater than 7 years’ plant management experience in a CPG manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Supply Chain Lead activities at an individual plant site, with the following functions:
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company policies, standards, and procedures and complying with all legal and regulatory requirements (food safety/environmental)
  • Ensures that the plant delivers on-time and in-full, meeting or exceeding all service standards and KPI targets
  • Controls costs of material, direct/indirect labor, and equipment in accordance to outlined budget, and eliminate waste in the plant (e.g., scrap, downtime, changeovers, shortage, etc.)
  • Supplies input on performance of department heads that report to other functions outside of the facility
  • Ensures that manufactured goods are in compliance with quality specifications
  • Executes on energy and water efficiency projects to promote resource sustainability in plants and ensures facility environmental compliance
  • Develops and executes programs for the plant site to increase productivity and quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provides direction to effectively deploy and implement food safety and labeling policies and procedures at the plant site.
  • Manages day-to-day local planning adjustments and execution of the central plan, primarily focusing on production scheduling.
  • Supervises engineering on-site design and supporting construction, operation, improvement and maintenance of manufacturing assets, technologies, and processes.
  • Ensures that appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and maintained for all functions at the plant.
  • Aids in developing an effective management/labor relationship if in a union facility.
  • Completes special projects, duties, and assignments.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes – Oxley, Safety, etc.)
  • Performs other duties which are deemed to be an integral part of the position, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
