About The Position

The Operations Development Manager II - US Growth will lead strategic operational improvement initiatives and drive growth across Jabil's US operations. This role focuses on optimizing processes, implementing best practices, and ensuring operational excellence to support business expansion and efficiency targets. This role will be based onsite at one of our US sites and will require 75% travel. Site options include: Salisbury, NC Memphis, TN Prince George, VA Salt Lake City, UT St. Petersburg, FL

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in operations management, process improvement, or operational development within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing large-scale operational improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, including budget and timeline accountability.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 75%) to various Jabil US sites and customer locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a contract manufacturing or electronics manufacturing services (EMS) environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies and programs to support Jabil's growth objectives within the US market.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex operational challenges, particularly those related to new business integration and scaling and opening new sites / buildings.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality across US facilities.
  • Collaborate with business development, sales, and site leadership to translate growth opportunities into actionable operational plans and resource requirements.
  • Manage project portfolios, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and budget control for operational development projects.
  • Conduct thorough operational assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for operational teams on new processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the effectiveness of operational development initiatives, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and logistics, providing guidance and support to various stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the US organization.
