Operations & Defense Recruiter

Path Robotics•Columbus, OH

About The Position

Path Robotics is building the future of embodied intelligence with AI-driven systems that enable robots to adapt, learn, and perform in the real world, transforming industries and closing the skilled labor gap. This role will support a broad portfolio of roles across Manufacturing Operations, Deployment & Fleet Operations, Field & Customer Operations, Supply Chain, and Defense-related programs. The recruiter will be responsible for hiring individuals from those building and commissioning systems to those deploying them in the field, supporting customers, managing the fleet, and ensuring the necessary materials and infrastructure for scaling. This is a strategic role that requires working directly with operations and business leaders to understand their organizations, anticipate talent needs, challenge assumptions, and build effective recruiting strategies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally supporting operations, manufacturing, supply chain, field service, defense, or other technical environments.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting across multiple operational functions rather than a single job family.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior leaders to define requirements and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Strong proactive sourcing skills with demonstrated success engaging passive talent.
  • Experience recruiting in fast-moving environments with high hiring volume and changing priorities.
  • Ability to understand technical and operational roles deeply enough to effectively assess and sell candidates.
  • Experience using recruiting data to manage pipelines and influence hiring decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches and candidate funnels simultaneously.
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Willingness to get close to the work—whether that means spending time on the production floor, learning our technology, or understanding what teams experience at customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruiting across manufacturing, production, deployment, fleet operations, field services, customer-facing technical roles, supply chain, and defense programs.
  • Recruit across a wide range of levels, from highly skilled technicians and individual contributors to managers and operational leaders.
  • Build sourcing strategies for specialized and difficult-to-find operational talent rather than relying solely on inbound applicants.
  • Conduct candidate screens, manage interview processes, develop offers, and close candidates.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines ahead of future hiring needs.
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through consistent communication, urgency, and transparency.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and become a trusted partner on their organizational and hiring needs.
  • Help leaders define what great talent looks like before launching a search.
  • Use market data, candidate feedback, and pipeline performance to influence hiring decisions.
  • Push back when requirements unnecessarily limit the talent pool and recommend alternative approaches.
  • Translate hiring demand into business impact and help leaders prioritize roles accordingly.
  • Maintain a strong operating rhythm with hiring managers around pipeline health, interviews, offers, risks, and hiring forecasts.
  • Develop repeatable recruiting strategies and talent pipelines that can scale alongside Path.
  • Use recruiting data to understand funnel health, identify bottlenecks, and improve outcomes.
  • Build targeted sourcing campaigns, referral strategies, talent maps, and competitive intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or simplify recruiting processes.
  • Partner across the Talent Acquisition team to continuously raise the quality and speed of hiring.
