About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in supporting manufacturing operations and data engineering initiatives to join their Manufacturing Operations Engineering and Analysis Team. The selected candidate must have a willingness to explore new technologies independently and then develop them in a team environment. This role will support the Manufacturing Operations team by recommending, developing, and re-engineering visibility reports or tools to translate information from SAP and other sources into actionable graphs and charts. The candidate will analyze and interpret data, converting it into meaningful information for the business, and utilize various toolsets such as SAP, Tableau, Palantir, and Data Warehouse for data mining and analysis. They will also explore and develop new technologies or approaches to data mining and interpretation, and assist in developing and maintaining SharePoint systems for department and manufacturing use, creating ad hoc reports based on unique business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of experience in database or web programming, information systems, data analysis, and/or data management; Master’s degree in STEM with experience in database or web programming, information systems, data analysis, and/or data management (for Operations Data Engineer)
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of experience in database or web programming, information systems, data analysis, and/or data management; Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of experience in database or web programming, information systems, data analysis, and/or data management (for Principal Operations Data Engineer)
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Experience using MS Office suite -Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Active/Current U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience in or knowledge of a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP, and Tableau
  • Familiarity with data transportation formats, including, but not limited to JSON, XML
  • Experience with object-oriented languages, such as JAVA, VBA, Python, R, C+ and database management languages such as Access
  • Familiarity with modern web development stack (ASP.NET, MVC, JS Frameworks, CSS, HTML)
  • Experience with database technologies such as ORACLE
  • Familiarity with AGILE development
