About The Position

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and maintaining files, preparing new hire and site-specific safety orientation materials, managing maintenance work orders, maintaining asset control forms, coordinating personnel travel and PPE safety requirements, conducting drug and alcohol tests, and providing general assistance to cement division personnel. This role also involves regular phone and email communication, adherence to company policies, and a strong focus on safety and environmental procedures. The position requires the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to various work environments.

Requirements

  • Good judgment and good health - must pass the job description physical capacity functions test.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Three years of administrative assistant and/or clerking experience.
  • Proficient computer and math skills with strong data entry skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of customers (internal and external) and vendors.
  • Consistent and dependable attendance.
  • Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license, Class 3 or higher.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Must submit and pass a drug screening and security background check.
  • Obtain a TWIC security card.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Maintenance Management and Purchasing.
  • Experience for construction materials or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience using JDE, spreadsheet servers, BI, Kronos.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and maintains files for Cement Division (personnel files, Tool Box and Safety Committee Minutes, Compliance Suite, Equipment Pre-Checks).
  • Prepares New Hire and Site-Specific Safety orientation materials and assists with orientations, including acquiring employee badges, TWIC Cards, and MARSEC Training.
  • Manages Division maintenance work orders using company IT tools and systems.
  • Maintains Asset Control Forms to ensure accurate and timely recording of equipment in IT Systems (including JDE).
  • Participates in the Division safety training program.
  • Coordinates Division personnel travel and PPE Safety requirements.
  • Conducts drug and alcohol tests for the Division.
  • Provides assistance to cement division personnel and serves as backup support to the billing clerk/admin receptionist, including arranging travel and lodging.
  • Performs regular phone interactions, email, and computer application work.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Works safely and takes action to prevent unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Ensures company safety goals are achieved and acts as a role model for safety and environmental policies.
  • Promotes company’s Mission and Vision statements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
