About The Position

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Operations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to Leadership & Service. With a primary emphasis on assisting with club event processing and scheduling, the position also provides administrative support for customer service, office operations, documentation, purchasing, inventory, departmental projects, and a variety of administrative functions within a high-volume department. The Operations Coordinator helps maintain timely, organized, and responsive service to students, campus partners, and departmental staff. This is a 9-month full-time temporary position and is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, vision and CalPERS retirement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative and judgement in analyzing and determining course of action.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships and provide excellent customer service to a diverse population.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to initiate, establish, and foster communication and teamwork by maintaining a positive, cooperative, and productive work atmosphere.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Type 45 wpm.
  • Four years of general office support or technical experience.
  • Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for six months of experience.
