The Operations Coordinator works closely with the Operations Manager and Event Coordinators to develop timelines, schedules, and action plans for event set-up and services. This role is responsible for creating chair set timelines and plans for non-hockey related events, attending department planning meetings, and participating in the Safety Workgroup. The coordinator will also help prepare department work schedules, set staffing responsibilities, review work quality, and schedule full/part-time employees and subcontracted service providers. They will supervise and instruct crews during event set-up, additions, changes, striking, and tear down, and assist in planning and executing changeovers. Additionally, the role supports the Director and Manager of Operations with budgeting and staffing plans, training, supervision, and evaluation of personnel and service providers. Responsibilities include the cleaning, upkeep, and minor maintenance of the facility and support areas, reporting major maintenance items and safety concerns, and delivering excellent service to clients. The coordinator oversees the maintenance and storage of event equipment, assists in training and evaluating employees, resolves employee conflicts, and assists with grounds maintenance projects like snow removal. This role also involves operating motorized equipment such as ice resurfacers, forklifts, floor scrubbers, and aerial lifts, and assisting with ice installation, preparation, and maintenance.
