About The Position

This role supports the Branch Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks such as batch generation, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, inventory management, production prioritization, and customer communication. The role involves creating and receiving orders in the BUS system, verifying product and freight costs, and coordinating with Purchasing and the Key Account Coordinator to maintain necessary product information. Additionally, the position is responsible for dispatching drivers and carriers for pick-ups and deliveries, assigning trailers, and ensuring cost-effective transportation methods are utilized when feasible. The role also includes operating a forklift and spotter truck, loading and unloading trucks, working in elevated areas, and handling rail car operations. The Operations Coordinator will escalate supply and demand issues to management and represent Brenntag Pacific professionally, adhering to all company policies and procedures. Attendance at required training is mandatory. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Two years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the BUS computer system.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Possess excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Branch Operations Manager as necessary to keep the department running smoothly.
  • Create and receive orders in the BUS for designated raw materials.
  • Verify product, freight costs and delivery date.
  • Work with Purchasing and Key Account Coordinator to ensure Product codes, Batches, SDS and COA information is updated and ready to use when necessary.
  • Dispatch Brenntag drivers and preferred carriers to arrange for pick-ups and deliveries when necessary.
  • Assign trailers for loading and deliveries with correct products and quantities as specified by customers.
  • Ensure the use of most cost-effective methods of transportation when timing permits.
  • Operating a forklift & spotter truck

  • Offloading rail cars & connecting/disconnecting rail cars
  • Elevate supply and demand issues when appropriate to the Branch Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor to assist in the resolution of issues.
  • Represent Brenntag Pacific in a professional manner.
  • Observe, follow, and enforce all Brenntag Pacific Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.
  • Any other production & warehouse duties required
