About The Position

The Operations Coordinator, Volleyball reports to the Head Coach, Volleyball and is responsible for the coordination and organization of the day-to-day operation of the Volleyball program. The Operations Coordinator assists the Head Coach in all phases of the daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate volleyball program.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in volleyball (collegiate playing, coaching or operations).
  • Excellent computer, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, colleagues and the public.
  • Strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes.
  • Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks at one time.
  • Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to compliance with, NCAA, ECAC, Ivy and University rules and regulations in regard to operations.
  • Completion of a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
  • Annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting.
  • Maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and organization of the day-to-day operation of the Volleyball program.
  • Assisting the Head Coach in all phases of the daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate volleyball program.
  • Ensuring compliance with NCAA, ECAC, Ivy and University rules and regulations in regard to operations.
  • Reporting any rules violations to the compliance office and appropriate parties.
