About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join their Caleb Brett team in Midland, TX. This role is within the Inspection and Testing business, focusing on specialized Cargo inspection and analytical assessment services for the oil and gas, chemical, and commodities markets. Requirements

  • Two years of experience in an inspection company.
  • Knowledge of basic contract do's and don'ts.
  • Sound knowledge of petroleum and chemical inspection procedures.
  • An understanding of the business requirements of the client, relative to the purpose of the services provided.
  • Working knowledge of the testing of commodities that are core to the business, and of the significance of quality test data.
  • Able and willing to travel.
  • Able to build customer relationships.
  • Willing to help with company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage job nominations and/or assignments from specific customers for a particular branch office, area or region.
  • Serve as the single point of customer contact for business related to that particular branch office, area or region.
  • Record nomination details on a job order, enter each job into a record, and assign a unique identifier upon receipt of a service request.
  • Review client instructions and identify potential problems regarding operations, conflict of interest, ethics, or compliance, alerting relevant parties.
  • Act as a decision-maker and problem-solver for issues involving a specific customer’s job nominations or job assignments.
  • Understand the nominating company's Intertek agreement, communicate with the client for detailed instructions, verify client needs, and coordinate communications between the client and Intertek personnel.
  • Interpret issues involving administration of the contract and advise the Corporate Contract Administrator of any contractual issues.
  • Maintain communication flow between responsible parties involved in job assignments, organize requested services, relay information about product hazards and properties, and manage communication to resolve problems.
  • Act as the single point of contact for designated clients for all instructions according to business protocol.
  • Collect information from Inspectors, communicate with the laboratory regarding analysis, and assemble a final report.
  • Manage account receivable balances and maintain accurate records on closed jobs for billing, volume reconciliation, and claims handling.
  • Maintain working geographic awareness of Intertek’s locations and capabilities.
  • Access necessary personnel and services to complete customer assignments.
  • Coordinate with corporate business development for marketing plans, visit customers and jobsites, and represent the Branch and Company positively.
  • Perform non-discretionary functions, including duties of a Dispatcher and Branch Sales, not exceeding 25% of work time.
  • Perform annual performance appraisals in accordance with the level of supervisory responsibility.
