About The Position

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Operations Coordinator, Men’s Lacrosse position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI). The Operations Coordinator is a position that reports to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and is responsible for the coordination and organization of the day-to-day operation of the Brown men’s lacrosse program. Assists the Head Men’s Lacrosse coach in all phases of the daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate men’s lacrosse program.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
1-2 years related experience in lacrosse (collegiate playing, coaching or operations).
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) & computer skills, necessary.
High attention to detail, necessary.
Basic proficiency in excel, word, internet & email capabilities.
Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to comply with, NCAA, Ivy League and University rules and regulations.
Demonstrated exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations.
Must reside and perform work in a state where Brown University is registered to do business (Rhode Island, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Washington, D.C.).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Division I experience preferred.
Experience planning and organizing team travel, preferred.
Social media experience, helpful.
Prior experience with video editing software, helpful.

Responsibilities

Coordination and organization of the day-to-day operation of the Brown men’s lacrosse program.
Assists the Head Men’s Lacrosse coach in all phases of the daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate men’s lacrosse program.
Demonstrated ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, colleagues and the public.
Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks at one time.
Compliance with NCAA, Ivy League and University rules and regulations.
Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification.
