Operations Controller (B4)
About The Position
The Operations Controller is a finance role at Applied Materials, a global materials science and engineering company serving the semiconductor and advanced display industries. The position contributes to financial forecast cycles, complex projects, financial transaction review and authorization, executive modeling and presentations, and finance process initiatives. The role requires substantial expertise in its discipline, analytical problem-solving, business judgment, and communication with stakeholders. The position is based in Kalispell, Montana, and includes travel approximately 10% of the time. Relocation is eligible.
Responsibilities
- Lead key financial forecast cycles, ensuring task accuracy and data integrity.
- Drive complex projects involving cross-functional relationships and direct exposure to senior management.
- Review, monitor, and authorize transactions for finance subgroups.
- Prepare detailed financial models for executive use and develop presentations of results.
- Serve as a process integration lead and/or work-stream owner for local or regional finance initiatives.
- Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Lead others in solving complex problems and identify innovative solutions.
- Communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view.
