Operations Co-Op (Spring 2027)
About The Position
Avery Dennison is seeking innovators, collaborators, and problem solvers for their Operations Co-Op position starting in January 2027. This program is designed to cultivate future talent by providing a blend of on-the-job learning, a dynamic environment, access to business leaders, and a supportive team. The co-op will focus on process improvement initiatives and collaboration with a plant's leadership team in a state-of-the-art facility, offering hands-on manufacturing experience. This co-op program serves as a talent pipeline for the Early Careers Program in Operations and throughout the organization. The position is rotational, with the location determined after offer acceptance in November 2026, and Avery Dennison is considering individuals excited about relocating to various sites across North America.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Chemical, Electrical, Automation, Controls, Industrial or Mechanical
- Must be willing to join during at least two semesters, including one non-summer term
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Sponsorship is not available now or in the future
- Ability to travel 10 - 20 percent of the time
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience
- Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers etc.
- Volunteerism or similar activities
Responsibilities
- Identify and support process improvement opportunities
- Build project plans and lead/support projects to completion
- Assist plant leadership team and help implement plant initiatives
- Support cross-functional teams with special projects as required
