About The Position

At First Student, our Operations Clerks play a key role in supporting both our internal operations and our customer partnerships. This is a unique, off-site position based at the Board of Education, working directly with the customer while serving as a liaison between the BOE, parents, and our operations team. This role is less traditional administrative support and more focused on communication, coordination, and follow-up related to transportation concerns and service delivery. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic data entry and 10-key skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the Board of Education, parents, and First Student operations
  • Respond to and follow up on transportation-related concerns and complaints
  • Communicate updates and resolutions to all stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
  • Support coordination between the customer and operations team to ensure service delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track communication related to transportation issues
  • Answer phones and respond to customer and internal inquiries
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
