About The Position

The Business Operations Specialist I, Group Captive Solutions supports the efficient delivery of services to Aon-supported group captive clients. This role focuses on coordinating key operational processes, maintaining accurate data, and supporting internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality captive deliverables and client experiences. The Specialist works closely with the Operations Business Analyst, Group Captive Executives, Account Management, and other Aon partners to drive consistency, accuracy, and operational excellence across the Group Captive Solutions portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in insurance, risk management, financial services, or an operations/analytical role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data management and document preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data tools or financial models is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interacting with internal stakeholders and client-facing colleagues.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation, quality review, and distribution of group captive deliverables to member companies, including: Board meeting materials Member Equity Statements Captive Renewal Proposals Captive Loss History Analyses
  • Actively support and monitor the group captive renewal process, tracking key milestones and documentation.
  • Coordinate with appropriate Aon resources, including Account Management, Brokerage, Aon Re, Aon Premium Finance, Group Captive Executives, Aon Client Services, and Fronting Carriers to ensure timely and accurate completion of renewal activities.
  • Maintain group captive financial data, including cede sheets and captive premium calculators, ensuring accuracy, version control, and appropriate documentation.
  • Work with Aon Global Meetings to identify, price, and coordinate venues and related activities for captive board and shareholder meetings.
  • Provide on-site oversight of captive shareholder and board meetings, including coordination with local venue staff to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Support Raffles Account Executives with board meeting planning and logistics.
  • Partner with the Operations Business Analyst to formalize processes and procedures for teams working with Aon-supported group captives, driving consistency and scalability across the portfolio.
  • Work closely with Group Captive Executives and Aon Client Services to identify and document opportunities for operational efficiency and process improvement.
  • Formalize and maintain the onboarding process for all new group captive members, including the development and upkeep of formal workstream documentation and checklists.
  • In collaboration with Aon’s Marketing team, assist in the development and maintenance of group captive marketing materials, presentations, and client-facing collateral that support business development and retention efforts.
