About The Position

Rosalyn Yalow is looking for an Operations Associate interested in gaining skills in education and charter school management. This position is a stepping stone to becoming an operations manager at Rosalyn Yalow or any other charter school. Our school is a non-profit whose mission supports the belief that all students can learn at a high level, regardless of race, culture, or socioeconomic status. We are looking for staff who support this ideal as well as our students and parents. The Operations Associate will report to the Operations Manager. This role affords many opportunities to develop skills and to grow with our team. The position is full time and salary range is $43,000-$55,000, depending on experience. Rosalyn Yalow also offers a generous medical and vacation benefits package.

Responsibilities

Gather and create student data reports for the New York State Education Department.
Support student recruitment to ensure full enrollment and accurate reporting.
Manage the distribution of student meals and transportation needs.
Distribute supplies to instructional teams as needed.
Coordinate special events, such as the annual Thanksgiving meal, chess and fencing championships, and choir recitals.
Work with IT consultants to troubleshoot technology issues.
Create communication documents for parents and/or staff.
Share main office coverage with team welcoming students and guests, including Saturday chess and fencing programs.
Tackle special projects for students and parents as needed.
Work hours will include some late evenings for events and time-sensitive projects.
To better serve our students and parents, Rosalyn Yalow has an extended school day requiring operations staff to be available until 6:00 p.m. to accommodate bus dismissal and late pickups.
Excellent computer skills needed, including Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Word.
