About The Position

Varsity Spirit, a Varsity Brands Company, is seeking an Operations Associate for CLI Studios. CLI Studios is dedicated to making dance education accessible globally through technology and innovative thinking. They offer an online training program and an in-person training program called the CLI Conservatory, which helps dancers launch their professional careers. The team at CLI Studios is a collaboration of performing artists, technologists, and startup operators who believe in the synergy of business and art. This role is for a seasonal, part-time Operations Associate who will work onsite at the CLI Conservatory in Southampton, MA. The position involves supporting various aspects of the Conservatory's operations, including media days, student showcases, photoshoots, creative films, auditions, and daily studio operations. The associate will also collaborate with the wellness team on social events for dancers and support the CLI Conservatory Intensives team and Admitted Students weekends. Additionally, the role involves assisting students with career initiatives, such as onboarding personal branding assets, coordinating alumni events, and connecting dancers to professional job opportunities.

Requirements

  • Passionate about dance, detail oriented and organized, and willing to hustle to hit goals and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating effectively across the organization.
  • Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • One to three years of experience in a customer facing role.
  • Experience within the dance industry (as a former dancer or employee of a dance or danced-related company).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the operations team on Conservatory creative projects such as media days, student showcase, photoshoots, creative films, auditions, the end of year show, and more.
  • Assisting the operations team on day-to-day Conservatory initiatives such as general studio operations, reviewing Conservatory and mentorship schedules, and opening and closing our studios each day.
  • Working with our wellness team on social events for our dancers to ensure they have a great experience both in and outside of the studios.
  • Supporting the CLI Conservatory Intensives team on the Fall, Winter, and Summer Intensives, as needed.
  • Working with the operations team on the Admitted Students weekends for upcoming Conservatory students to experience the Conservatory.
  • Supporting students in careers initiatives such as onboarding their personal branding assets into the CLI Conservatory Careers database, coordinating alumni training events, and connecting Conservatory dancers to available professional jobs in the dance industry.
