About The Position

The Operations & Task Management Specialist will support the 306th Intelligence Squadron (306 IS) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is a critical enabler of the commander’s ability to lead, serving as the direct liaison for Airmen across the unit and ensuring seamless execution of daily operations. The specialist will be an experienced administrative and task management subject matter expert who thrives in fast-moving environments, understands Air Force processes, and can independently manage a wide range of personnel, workflow, and organizational requirements. The work will directly empower government personnel to stay focused on core mission responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Information/Knowledge Management.
  • Proven ability to manage military programs and administrative processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience managing or responding to formal taskings from senior leadership or higher headquarters.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of training or completion in Knowledge Management.
  • Experience working with the national intelligence community and supporting the ACC ISR enterprise.
  • Prior experience as an Executive Officer, Executive Assistant, NCOIC, Flight Chief, or OIC.

Responsibilities

  • Advise 306 IS leadership on personnel processes, task management, and administrative requirements while ensuring compliance with Air Force policies and procedures.
  • Review, coordinate, develop, and process timely responses to internal and external DoD and Air Force formal taskings and RFIs.
  • Manage squadron workflow processes, including task receipt, assignment, suspense tracking, quality control, timeliness, and closure.
  • Develop, update, and maintain squadron briefing slides, reports, and informational documents.
  • Coordinate with geographically separated training units to resolve issues and support the development, implementation, and execution of personnel programs and policies.
  • Research and analyze disparate data sources, identify potential concerns, and provide recommended courses of action to squadron leadership.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and coordinating staff packages, eSSS actions, awards, and citations.
  • Execute additional administrative duties as assigned to support squadron operations.
