The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant by operating, monitoring, inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining plant equipment and auxiliary systems. This position performs startup, shutdown, inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs while supporting equipment reliability, plant performance, and safe operations. The scope of responsibility includes performing startup, shutdown, operation, and monitoring of plant equipment and auxiliary systems; monitoring plant performance and operating parameters, identifying abnormal conditions, and implementing corrective actions; performing routine inspections, operational testing, condition monitoring, and minor repairs; preparing equipment for maintenance and following safety procedures like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO); maintaining accurate operating logs, equipment history, and maintenance records using the plant's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues; assisting with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of pumps, valves, rotating equipment, generators, and other balance-of-plant systems; collaborating with plant personnel, contractors, and vendors; maintaining accurate documentation; promoting a strong safety culture; and performing other duties as assigned.
