About The Position

Federal Express Corporation is seeking qualified applicants for Operations Analyst II - Operations Analyst IV. By applying to this posting, you may be considered for either role, depending on your qualifications and experience. Operations Analyst II: Provides analysis and support for field operations, including trend analysis, process development and documentation, training development, and troubleshooting. Operations Analyst III: Collaborating with various departments, participating in project teams, validating performance metrics, developing administrative processes, identifying process improvements, documenting field processes, communicating changes to the field organization, monitoring key performance indicators, providing on-site support, and continuously improving internal work processes. Operations Analyst IV: Collaborating with various departments, providing analysis and support for field operations, leading implementation support for new functions, processes, and systems, and participating in new product development teams, Quality Action Teams (QAT), and special project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in business, logistics or related field.
  • Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.
  • Two (2 ) years experience required in FedEx transportation, logistics industry or related area. (Operations Analyst II)
  • Four (4) years experience required in FedEx transportation, logistics industry or related area. (Operations Analyst III)
  • Seven (7) years experience required in FedEx transportation, logistics industry or related area. (Operations Analyst IV)
  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information.
  • Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.
  • Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to develop effective methods for tracking and monitoring data or information.
  • Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
  • Ability to act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures used in field operations.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information and to communicate with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and implements process improvements with limited guidance.
  • Participates on new product development teams, Quality Action Teams (QAT), and special project teams, and cross functional projects.
  • Provides implementation support for deployment of new functions, processes and systems as needed.
  • Collaborates with corporate departments, Information Technology (IT), and field personnel across the company.
  • Participates on tactical and strategic project teams.
  • Validates and updates performance metric analysis and reports.
  • Assists and documents administrative processes and business requirements to support new system enhancements.
  • Documents field processes and updates appropriate corporate publications.
  • Communicates process changes to the field organization in a timely manner.
  • Monitors key indicators of field performance, assists in root cause analysis, and collaborates with field personnel to improve and implement corrective actions.
  • Provides on-site support to field operations.
  • Continuously improving internal department work processes through applied technology.
  • Updating systems and databases to improve department work processes.
  • Leads implementation support for deployment of new functions, processes and systems as needed.
  • Leads and participates on/leads new product development teams, Quality Action Teams (QAT), and special project teams.
  • Leads and participates on tactical and strategic project teams.
  • Develops administrative processes and business requirements to support new system enhancements.
  • Initiates and implements process improvements.
  • Applies Project Management fundamentals and concepts.
  • Supports budgeting process and performs financial cost/benefit analysis of recommended solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
