As a member of the Acquisition and Disposition (A&D) Accounting group, the Operations Accountant is primarily responsible for preparing, analyzing and recording Interim and Final Statements of Adjustments (ISOA’s/FSOA’s) for North America E&P A&D activity.

Requirements

7+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilities; related University degree
Expertise in: Financial and operations accounting
Experience with complex accounting transactions
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to meet key deliverable deadlines within a short time frame
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to change quickly, including change driven by technology
Familiarity with and understanding of: Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
EnterpriseOne
Reporting tools such as FDAP

Responsibilities

Identify, analyze and prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to facilitate the monthly close and quarterly reporting for A&D
Analyze and prepare ISOA’s and FSOA’s for all A&D activity
Liaise with various internal and external accounting and operations departments to ensure effective and accurate ISOA/FSOA preparation
Analyze and prepare schedules/accounting entries for gains/losses and fair value adjustments
Identify and recommend process improvements
Special projects as assigned
