About The Position

Ethos is seeking an Operations Account Manager to engage and manage back-office operations for their strategic distribution partners. This role serves as the operational point of contact for external distribution partners, collaborating with internal sales, product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end customer success and drive business growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about combining operational expertise with B2B customer-facing account management, possessing a driven, communicative, detail-oriented, and process-focused approach with a commitment to customer success.

Requirements

  • Excellent internal and external communication skills, with the ability to translate complex internal processes into clear external expectations.
  • Experience in external-facing enterprise account management, onboarding, or customer success roles.
  • Process-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience building back-end processes, tracking, and systems to support account management at scale.
  • A desire to please customers and a "whatever-it-takes" approach to ensuring success.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity in a hyper-growth sales environment.
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying partner needs.

  • Familiarity with tech stacks such as Slack, Google Sheets/Docs/Slides, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle account management for SMB through enterprise B2B partners, acting as a liaison between internal and external operations teams to translate requirements and ensure success.
  • Lead operational onboarding with partner's operational teams, including clear communication, training, and support through account creation, covering details like payment terms, licensing, and bulk account creation.
  • Partner with strategic account managers to grow partner business, owning the relationship with partner operations teams while sales teams manage partner sales teams.
  • Solve operational challenges by translating unique partner operational challenges into customer success strategies and acting as the internal voice for partner operational needs, working with product and technology teams to scope and prioritize solutions.
  • Become an expert in Ethos' back-office operations, clearly explaining processes, SLAs, and exception routing to external partners to prevent confusion and resolve outlier cases.
  • Help define and scale the account management strategy, cadences, and processes for a new team.
