About The Position

Golden Hour Designs is seeking an Operational Support Staff member to join their dynamic team. This hybrid role requires flexibility to support both retail and production operations, involving customer-facing interactions and hands-on production work. The ideal candidate will have a positive, team-oriented attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Experience in retail, customer service, events, hospitality, or production environments is preferred, along with familiarity with systems like Shopify POS, inventory management, Slack, and Google Workspace.

Requirements

Must be 21+ years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in retail/customer service; Minimum one year demonstrated experience
Intermediate skill in using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
High level of professionalism; able to handle difficult situations (such as change) with diplomacy and tact
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to pass a standard background check

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with Shopify POS highly preferred
Previous experience with Slack preferred
Experience in retail, sales, or customer service
Experience in events and/or hospitality
Experience in product assembly, craftsmanship, or production environments
Familiarity with basic inventory systems

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome customers, creating a warm and engaging in-store experience
Educate customers on product features and assist with selections and purchases
Operate Shopify POS, handle transactions, and ensure accurate inventory tracking
Support customer inquiries in-store, via phone, and via email as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked retail environment
Assist in the assembly of jewelry and home goods with attention to quality and efficiency
Inspect finished products to ensure consistency with GHD standards
Package and prepare products for shipment or retail display
Operate and maintain production tools and equipment safely
Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines
Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders
Track materials and product stock levels and update systems accordingly
Support inventory organization and restocking across both retail and production areas
Participate in routine inventory counts
Use Slack and internal tools to stay informed and communicate with the team
Support general operational needs and special projects as assigned
Assist leadership with cross-functional tasks as business needs evolve
