About The Position

The Operational Readiness & Project Management Analyst II supports product launches, equipment installations, capacity expansions, and operational improvement initiatives. Working with teams across engineering, operations, quality, safety, and business functions, the role coordinates projects from concept through launch and supports safe, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely implementation. The position contributes to operational readiness, plant readiness, production ramp-up, training coordination, capacity planning, project tracking, and leadership reporting. The role is onsite in Detroit, Michigan. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Project Management, Manufacturing, or a related field; internships or co-ops may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1–3 years of applicable experience; internships or co-ops may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Basic understanding of project management principles.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in cross-functional environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where the position is located; the role is not open to visa sponsorship or existing visa holders.
• Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting manufacturing launches or equipment implementations.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or TOS principles.
• Certified Lean Expert or TOS Specialist.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Teams Planner, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Support operational readiness activities for new product introductions, equipment implementations, capacity expansions, and operationally impacted projects.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs).
• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Program Management, and Facilities.
• Track schedules, action items, risks, decisions, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and status reports.
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate status updates.
• Support identification and escalation of project risks and issues.
• Assist with plant readiness activities and production ramp-up.
• Monitor project KPIs and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate operator training and readiness activities.
• Support capacity planning and operational readiness reviews.
• Maintain project records and leadership reporting.
