About The Position

WSP USA is seeking an Operational Readiness Program Manager for our New York, NY Office. The role will lead the development and implementation of a transformation plan to transition clients from operating and maintaining hardware-driven systems to software-driven systems. The role will coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure organizational, operational, and workforce readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years extensive experience in transit operations and maintenance, preferably in a large urban rail system.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and implement transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of CBTC systems and their operational implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across a large, multi-layered organization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Operational strategy and transformation leadership.
  • Transit operations and maintenance expertise.
  • Change management and organizational development.
  • Stakeholder collaboration across broad organizational structures.
  • Governance and compliance adherence.
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive operational readiness and transformation plan.
  • Define the organizational changes required to support a centralized operations and maintenance.
  • Identify gaps in skills, processes, and resources, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Oversee execution of the transformation plan and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement new workflows, systems, and procedures.
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to achieve readiness objectives.
  • Engage senior leadership to identify resources and funding for readiness initiatives.
  • Align operational readiness goals with broader client strategic objectives.
  • Communicate changes and readiness requirements to leadership and frontline staff.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build awareness and capability.
