Requirements

  • Basic Math and Reasoning Skills
  • People and Team Leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Cleaning Practices and Program
  • Understand allergens and microbiological
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement
  • Strong project management and planning skills required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of food industry cleaning systems management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support all elements of food safety within the warehouse.
  • Report any/all food safety concerns to the Industrial Cleaning Manager or the Senior Industrial Cleaning Manager.
  • Assist in tasking the master cleaning schedule tasks in addition to the normal daily tasking.
  • Log work completed in the master Industrial Cleaning schedule.
  • Effectively complete tasks assigned and supervise the completion of Industrial Cleaning subordinate tasking.
  • Supervise the Industrial Cleaning and production teams and engage in cleaning and sanitizing events.
  • Assist in the development of cleaning crews as well as Industrial Cleaning staff members through On-The-Job training.
  • Ensure the proper verification of cleaning and sanitization events through physical inspection.
  • Ensure that all cleaners are used as set forth in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Ensure that all bulk chemicals are being dispensed at the proper dilution and that the equipment is functioning properly.
  • Test all sanitizer dilutions and document results.
  • Inform the Industrial Cleaning Manager of any deviations immediately.
  • Facilitate the training and development of new team members to the Industrial Cleaning group.
  • Verify ingredient container integrity and assist with isolating, clean up and controlling damaged product.
  • Report damage to the warehouse supervisor or manager and maintain documentation relating to corrective actions.
  • Verify equipment is maintained to OSHA standards and certifications remain current (e.g., Hilo’s, lifts).
  • Perform eye wash station checks along with fire extinguisher and emergency lighting checks.
  • Perform additional checks for AED/First Aid stations, battery hoist checks and dock checks.
  • Document corrective actions for noncompliance observations.
  • Assist the warehouse supervisor or manager with near-miss investigations and corrective action implementation.
