We are currently seeking two Operational Finance Analyst to join our team. One to be based in Ontario or Quebec, and one to be based in Alberta or BC. This is a hybrid position with occasional attendance in office required. Reports to: Director, Operational Finance. Role purpose: The FP&A Analyst partners with the Director, Operational Finance to deliver timely, reliable performance reporting and analysis to the Operations team and Executive Leadership. This role supports performance improvement by identifying trends, explaining variances, and translating data into actionable insights that drive operational and financial decision-making. The FP&A Analyst also plays a key role in the annual budgeting cycle, forecasting processes, and ongoing budget-to-actual variance analysis. This position works closely with Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to enhance reporting capabilities, improve data quality, and support the evolution of key performance indicators and business intelligence tools.

Requirements

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical judgment, including the ability to perform reasonableness checks, validate completeness and accuracy, and interpret results beyond the spreadsheet
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting
  • Power BI experience, or demonstrated ability and interest in developing business intelligence and dashboarding capabilities
  • Solid financial literacy and understanding of core accounting and financial concepts, including income statements, revenue recognition, expenses, accruals, and EBITDA
  • Clear, confident communication with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Finance, and Technology, and to appropriately challenge/defend data reliability used in decision-making
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights and practical, actionable business recommendations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability and comfort working with evolving business requirements, including testing new KPIs, models, and reporting approaches and continuously improving processes
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Analytics, or Information Systems
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, operational analytics, FP&A, or related business partnering roles
  • Experience supporting operational leaders through budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and decision support
  • Experience building and maintaining financial models and management reporting tools

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI experience is considered a strong asset
  • Professional designation and/or graduate education (CPA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent experience) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly KPI reporting for the Operations and Executive teams, including, but not limited to: Monthly conversion of new patients to sales, by clinic/location, Staff productivity reporting and trend analysis, New patient referral trends vs. budget and expected impact on revenue, Budget-to-actual revenue and EBITDA analysis, including key drivers and recommendations, Analysis to support the monthly Clinic Excellence Index, including review of key HR, financial, and operational metrics
  • Support clinics, Vice Presidents, and Regional Directors in the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and ongoing financial projections
  • Support the Director, Operational Finance in the review, challenge, and consolidation of regional budgets prepared by Operation
  • Partner with Operations leaders to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate data into practical recommendations that support business objectives
  • In partnership with the Director, build, maintain, and enhance financial and operational models, primarily in Excel and Power BI, as reporting requirements and KPI frameworks evolve
  • Develop and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics to provide greater visibility into operational and financial performance
  • Partner with the Technology team to validate and continuously improve the reliability of automated and system-generated operating KPIs, including metric definitions, calculations, and data quality
  • Support month-end and quarter-end performance reviews through analysis of financial and operational results and preparation of executive-level reporting materials
