About The Position

Eaton Corporation in Raleigh, NC is currently seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will manage, plan, coordinate and lead the deployment of Operational Excellence programs (ECIS, structure problem solving) throughout the Raleigh facility in support of strategic goals and objectives. This position is a manager of people role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of four(4) years of manufacturing/Distribution Center continuous improvement experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.   • Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with basic manufacturing tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements
  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Proficiency with components of Eaton Lean Six Sigma, Eaton Business Excellence, EHS, ProLaunch, and lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Lead or facilitate projects or events such as Rapid Improvement Events, Value Stream Map (VSM) process, Continuous Flow, Standardization 5S+, Error Proofing, Eliminating Waste, TPM, Pull System, etc. for the Raleigh facility.
  • Identify strategic initiatives at the site through the Eaton Business System.
  • Recommends changes to existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing productivity and improve lean flow of materials.
  • Evaluate current and future state manufacturing processes and ensures that sound engineering and manufacturing principles are being followed.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
  • Assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across Eaton and the division.
  • Coach, mentor, develop and conduct performance reviews for your direct reports.
  • Help achieve the sites factory cost out goals.
  • Provide regular ECIS status updates to the leadership team and plant.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments (Quality, EHS, Operations, Engineering, SCM, etc.) to achieve the sites operational goals.
  • Increase safety and repeatability of existing processes.
  • Drive employee engagement through IDEAS program and participation in CI activities.
