The Raytheon Performance Excellence team is seeking an Operational Excellence Lead (Principal Specialist, General Management) to join the Program Manager (PM) Development team. The team leads the identification, development and growth of current and future program managers who enable successful program execution across the Raytheon business. This position is accountable for the planning, execution, and oversight of project management development initiatives designed to support the growth and leadership capability of prospective and current program managers. Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams or stakeholders
  • Experience leading project initiatives
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Execute planning, coordination, and delivery of experiential, mentoring, and coaching programs to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation
  • Lead end-to-end project management initiatives within the PM Development portfolio
  • Own and maintain master program trackers, calendars, rosters, templates, and communications
  • Manage volunteer interest pipelines to ensure adequate resourcing and alignment with program needs
  • Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking against industry best practices and applying feedback, data, and evaluation insights
  • Provide ad-hoc operational support, as needed, to include assistance in scheduling, logistics, event coordination, and follow-up activities
  • Travel, up to 20%, to participate in domestic business engagements
