About The Position

RWC is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Operational Efficiency Analyst (AI & Automation) - Summer Student to join their team on a contract basis from May through August. In this role, you will work closely with departments across the company to understand workflows, identify operational pain points, and explore opportunities where AI and automation can improve efficiency, quality, decision-making, and overall employee experience. The successful candidate will help evaluate processes, research practical technology solutions, and support initiatives focused on streamlining operations and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Business, Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in AI, automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies.
• Comfortable learning and using new software and digital tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Teams.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
• Experience with dashboards, workflow tools, or basic coding/programming is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze existing workflows and identify inefficiencies.
• Research and implement AI-powered tools and automation solutions.
• Assist in streamlining administrative, operational, and reporting processes.
• Develop dashboards, workflows, or lightweight applications to improve productivity
• Support data organization, analysis, and process documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable business solutions.
• Document processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with other technology and operational improvement initiatives as required.
