About The Position

As the Operations Manager, you will serve as the "nerve center" of the organization. This is a pivotal "bridge" role designed to balance office efficiency with the logistical demands of field-based lighting projects. The CEO is looking for an experienced leader to take over daily operations—managing the office, field coordination, and external vendors—so he can pivot his focus toward revenue generation and strategic scaling. Your success in this role will directly impact the company's ability to scale along the Florida coast, with the potential for this position to evolve into a Director of Operations or General Manager role as new locations are established.

Requirements

  • Industry Veteran: You bring 3–5+ years of experience in operations management, specifically within home services (HVAC, Electrical, Landscaping, or Construction).
  • Organized Leader: You possess exceptional organizational skills and remain unruffled during high-volume, complex scheduling seasons.
  • Accountability-Driven: You are comfortable managing personnel and have the professional "backbone" to make difficult hiring and performance decisions to maintain high quality.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in managing field service software (CRM) and digital vendors to ensure data accuracy.
  • Due to the nature of the industry, it is a requirement to work through the busy year-end periods (excluding the actual holidays).

Responsibilities

  • Field & Contractor Coordination: Manage the master calendar for 12+ full-time employees and various sub-contractors to ensure maximum labor efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Act as the direct supervisor for internal staff and outside vendors, scaling the team from 12 members to upwards of 50 during the peak seasonal "ramp-up."
  • Operational Stability: Define and execute marketing plans, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the transition of digital aspects to third-party partners.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead the hiring and training efforts during critical quarterly growth periods.
  • Process Improvement: Improve internal workflows for lead intake and billing while ensuring continued stability within the office environment.

  • 401k (after 12 months)
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • paid holidays
  • company-provided technology (laptop/phone) and attire
  • Performance Incentives: Performance-based incentives tied to profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Future Growth: Opportunity to move into executive leadership as the company expands geographically.
