About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring an Operation Excellence 5S worker in Sunnyvale, Texas. This manufacturing and warehouse role involves preparing materials, operating and inspecting equipment, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, and packaging and labeling finished products. The position also supports process-improvement efforts and consistent product quality. Training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., with weekends off. Pay is $24.50 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing fields.
• Process-improvement experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Sigma, or other process-improvement methodologies.
• A track record of implementing successful process-improvement initiatives.
• Safety and compliance experience.
• GED or high school diploma.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Excellent physical stamina.
• Able to stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse Associate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and inspect equipment.
• Prepare materials for production.
• Operate equipment during the production process.
• Inspect the work area for hazards.
• Clean the workspace.
• Package and label finished products.
• Help ensure consistent product quality.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
• Implement or contribute to process-improvement initiatives.
